Marilyn is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Ohio and Kentucky. She is a Supervising Clinical Social Worker and has been working in the mental health field for over 25 years.
Marilyn specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, substance abuse, as well as marital and family therapy.
She has also worked in residential treatment and group home settings for troubled adolescents, in the school system, in hospital settings and community mental health centers for the severely mentally ill. She has provided consultation to Educators and Directors of treatment facilities for adolescents.
Marilyn has a passion for her life’s work in mental health and has practiced in Canada, Japan, and the United States. She has experience working with expatriated individuals and families. This includes counseling for culture shock, reverse culture shock, third culture children issues, cross cultural couple counseling, and adjustment issues related to living outside one’s home country.
