JENN KAISER

Dr. Jenn is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who works with adolescent and adult males and females.  She is a recent transplant to the Cincinnati area, having lived in Columbus for most of her adult life.

Dr. Jenn received a dual master’s degree from Ball State University where she studied both Sport and Exercise Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling.  There, she worked with athletes on performance enhancement, team building, communication, and focus while also building an expertise in exercise and wellness for mental health.

While working on her PhD, Dr. Jenn worked in addiction treatment in the outpatient, IOP, and inpatient settings.  Additionally, she developed a specialization in working with clients who have a history of complex trauma and dissociation.  She works with clients who have dual diagnoses, substance abuse history, anxiety, PTSD, and an array of other mental health challenges.

Dr. Jenn is also a Certified Personal Trainer accredited by ACSM.  With her combined education and experience, Dr. Jenn brings a unique perspective to counseling her clients.  She takes a holistic approach to treating the whole person, body, mind, and spirit.  She uses a blend of somatic work, mindfulness, EMDR, DBT, and traditional techniques from CBT.  Most importantly, Dr. Jenn believes that it is imperative to maintain the safety of the client, both physically and emotionally, and thus the client sets the pace for the work and can expect to have her boundaries respected.

When not at work as a counselor, Dr. Jenn collaborates with other professionals to research and implement yoga and physical fitness in addiction treatment programs.  She enjoys spending time with her family, including her two young children.
